Youth Development Administration Programme – 24-Month Opportunity
The Youth Development Administration is rolling out a 24-month programme aimed at helping young South Africans gain real work experience in various administrative roles. If you hold a qualification in Public Management, Administration, Business, or a related field, this is your chance to build your career while earning a monthly stipend.
What’s on Offer
This is a paid internship programme. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend based on their highest qualification.
Stipend Breakdown:
- National Diploma: Up to R5,000 per month
- Bachelor’s Degree: Up to R5,500 per month
- Postgraduate Diploma / Honours / Professional Qualification: Up to R6,500 per month
- 4-Year or Professional Degrees: Up to R7,000 per month
- Master’s Degree: Up to R7,500 per month

Who Can Apply
You must have one of the following qualifications:
- National Diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Honours Degree
- Master’s Degree
Fields of study should include:
- Public Management
- Public Administration
- Business Management

- Or a related qualification
Position Details
Justice College (5 Posts)
Focuses on legal education. Applicants with a background in Public Administration or Legal Studies are encouraged to apply.
Constitutional Development (2 Posts)
Supports work related to constitutional law and development. Ideal for those with Public Management or similar qualifications.
HRD – Human Resource Development (1 Post)
Assists in HR projects. Suitable for applicants with Human Resources or Public Administration qualifications.
Facility Management (1 Post)
Involves maintaining and managing government facilities. Ideal for those with Business or Facilities Management backgrounds.
Strategic Planning (2 Posts)
Supports the organisation’s planning and decision-making functions. Applicants should have a background in strategy, policy or public service planning.
Monitoring and Evaluation (2 Posts)
Tracks the success of programmes. A background in Public Administration, Project Management, or related fields is recommended.
Service Delivery (2 Posts)
Focuses on improving government service delivery. Qualifications in Business Management or Public Administration are suitable.
Programme and Projects Management (1 Post)
Supports the planning and execution of public projects. Applicants with Honours or Master’s Degrees in Public Administration or Project Management are preferred.
